Administrative Assistant Job Description

This description is subject to change from summer to summer;
however, this does give a general idea of what is expected.

  1. To attend pre-camp staff training session (ten days).
  2. Provides assistance and hospitality for adult leaders and camp speakers as assigned and as needed.
  3. Contacts, trains and assists camp nurse each week.
  4. Wake up campers on the P.A. each morning and then announce time for Morning Watch or breakfast before inspecting of cabins begins.
  5. Oversees Cabin Cleanup and Mail collections and distribution.
  6. Provides support to Office Manager in all areas of office management
  7. Assists Director with details of staff assignments, registration organization, staff accountability issues, and other needs as assigned by Director.
  8. Assists "The 12" Coordinator with child-care and is involved as needed in assisting her with special needs relative to her work.
  9. Set up program registration tables on Registration Day
  10. Coordinates with Camp Photographer about slide show with music on last night of camp or last morning.
  11. Tracks follow-up with staff (accountability) and orders follow-up books as needed
  12. Manages and edits "Summer Staff Reflections" as summer progresses; monitors staff progress on this.
  13. Prepares thank you cards for Director for each speaker and nurse.
  14. Serves as camp receptionist in morning hours during camp when Office Manager is not available.
  15. Participates in relational ministry aspects of camp program as needed.
  16. Is a role-model as a follower of Jesus Christ at all times.
