On this day, 60 years ago, Mr. & Mrs. C.A. Barge sought to create a "place of refuge" where people could to come to see beautiful scenery and fellowship God in the middle of it. Today, Lake Forest is fulfilling that mission. Times have changed, but the mission remains the same--"Building Relationships for Eternal Impact".

The Father/Son Fishing Retreat: A Big Hit!!!!
The Father/ Son Fishing Retreat was a great time for Dads & Sons (or Grandfathers & Grandsons) to get away for a short weekend to have some time together fishing & enjoying good Christian fellowship. The event was a huge success with excellent participation, including 15+ families and a unique opportunity for 12 children from Palmer Home of Columbus, MS to get away and fish with college mentors. Thanks to all who participated in this year event. We look forward to doing this again next Spring!

Labor Day Weekend Family Escape
At the LFR Labor Day Weekend Family Escape there will
be so many opportunities to play and have fun together as a family, that it will be a perfect end to your summer.
There will be fantastic times for family worship, singing and Bible study. There could be no better combination to conclude a busy summer and jump into the fall than this special weekend. The retreat begins with supper at 7 p.m. on Friday September 3 and ends after breakfast on Monday September 6.
