Lake Forest Ranch’s history is deeply rooted in timber. Some camps have mountains or beaches, but LFR has trees! LFR lives in the heart of thousands of acres of loblolly pines that is still managed by the family who envisioned and began LFR in 1950. The drive into camp is lined with these majestic, tall trees. The view across the lake, inside and surrounding the camp itself is dominated by loblolly pines. A few of these trees were standing when Lake Forest Ranch began 75 years ago.
Whether your most vivid LFR memories include bonfires, water basketball, zip lining, or one-on-one conversations about Jesus…it all happens under the shade of a loblolly! Imagine if these trees could talk! While buildings and people have come and gone, the loblolly pine, in a way, represents what never changes about LFR. They grow tall, root deep, and live long.
